Swearing is unacceptable, including using the substitution of characters to disguise the swear word (eg. sh*t). Language filters are in place, but any missed swearing will be picked up by forum members, reported and removed by the administrator, or picked up by the administrator and removed.

There is a competition being run in conjunction with the publication of this forum, and each comment posted is an entry. Terms and conditions are listed in the competition entry process, but as a guideline to help your chances to win remember that the competition is a game of skill, winners will be those forum participants who are judged to have submitted the best posts over the course of the forum. Also, repeating posts will not increase your chances in the competition; all posts will be monitored and checked prior to the awarding of any prizes.
1. Information on how to enter forms part of the terms and conditions of entry. To enter the HP TouchSmart competition you must post a comment in the HP Forum on the GadgetGuy website. Eligible participants are required to provide their name and a valid email address to complete their entry in the competition.
2. Each original forum comment counts as a single entry, and there are no limits on the number of comments that can be posted with a valid email address. Repeating, or slightly amending, forum comments will not increase chances of winning; this is a game of skill and entries will be judged on originality and content.
3. Entry is open to all permanent residents of Australia.
4. This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining winners.
5. The judges' decision is final and no correspondence shall be entered into. Prizes cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash.
6. Judging for the competition will take place on 1 November, 2008 at Gadget Group, 120 Cathedral St, Woolloomooloo NSW 2011.
7. The promoter will not be held responsible for any late, lost or misdirected mail.
8. No employees, relatives or associates of HP Australia or Gadget Group Pty Ltd can enter the competition.
9. The winners shall be notified by email, and upon confirmation of the winners contact details the names will be published in the fortnightly GadgetGuy.com.au newsletter. Notice of the winners will also be published in The Australian newspaper.
10. Prize value is the recommended retail value as provided by the supplier and is correct at the time of printing. All prize values are in Australian dollars.
11. The promoter shall not be responsible for any loss or damage whatsoever that is suffered (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any prize/s, except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
12. The competition commences 1 August 2008 and concludes at 5 pm, 1 November, 2008. All entries become the property of the promoter.
13. Prize winners once notified by email of their win have 3 months from the despatch of our email to supply us their contact details. If no reply is received then the prize will be re-drawn on 1 February 2009, at 12 pm at the offices of Gadget Group, 120 Cathedral Street, Woolloomooloo NSW 2011.
