Kambrook aims for planet-sized muffins with the Planetary mixer

Stand mixers aren’t always affordable — just look at the $749 cost of the classic Kitchenaid in this country — but Kambrook might have found a balance, hitting under the $200 mark with a new model.

Designed for the kitchen that makes and bakes frequently, Kambrook’s PowerMix Planetary Bench Mixer is a new stand mixing model that adopts the planetary mixer attachment design to reach as much of the inside of the bowl as possible without making a mess.

We’re told professional bakers prefer this style of mixer, thanks to how much of the bowl is touched by the attachment, and six speed settings essentially make it possible to do make cake batter or bread dough inside the 3.5 litre stainless steel mixing bowl.

A splash guard is also included, covering the bowl while the mixer goes to work, while a leaf beater, dough hook, and whisk attachment will make it possible to get other types of food mixed appropriately using the mixer.

Kambrook has also managed to keep the cost down, which is frequently a complaint from people looking to invest in a bench or stand mixer, with $179 netting customers the entire package.

Stores across Australia should be getting the Kambrook PowerMix Planetary Bench Mixer from this week.
