Nespresso’s well known no-fuss coffee system will be getting a new machine, and one not officially endorsed by Nespresso itself, with Australian manufacturer Kogan joining the coffee pod market.
Available in October for $199, the Kogan Ez-press Coffee Machine makes use of Nespresso coffee capsules to create coffee in minutes. The new machine has been designed to work specifically with the Nespresso pods, with no cleaning required.
“We’re making the Nespresso coffee system more affordable, at well under half the price of the current products available on the market,” said Ruslan Kogan, founder of Kogan.
While the price is very competitive – with Nespresso’s least expensive machine retailing for $349 – the release of the Ez-press Coffee Machine hinges on whether Kogan can make use of the technology while Nespresso’s patents are standing.
excellent!
GOOD ON YOU KOGAN
Cheaper pods are what we are after!
We have the machine, but can’t work out how to buy the pods. Nespresso haven’t listed the machine on their website when purchasing the pods.
That’s probably because it’s not a Nespresso machine. You’ll probably have to walk into a store and buy them yourself.
I don’t have neither a Nespresso Brand nor Kogan machine but but Nespresso pods direct from their on line website.
You need to be a Nespresso club member to buy Nespresso capsules, however you can buy refillable capsules from http://www.podcafe.com.au which fit in my sheffield machine, pretty much the same as the Kogan one. Here are the capsules http://www.podcafe.com.au/refillable-nespresso-capsule/
