Logitech makes the Mini more work-friendly with an ultrathin keyboard case

We’re fans of any device that lets us do our work in pretty much any location, and being that you can actually do work on a tablet, that now includes the small touchscreen slates. Logitech plans to make it easier than ever, improving on a tiny touchscreen keyboard with a tiny physical one.

Built into one of those magnetic covers, the Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Mini is a more compact version of its big brother made for the regular 9.7 inch iPad.

Like that model, Logitech is keeping the aluminium cover with magnets on the hinge, and using a smaller bluetooth EasyType keyboard to offer as much functionality from the keyboard as possible inside the smaller space offered here.

Itty bitty keyboard, but still big enough for your fingers.

“We are excited to bring the award-winning Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover design – recognised across the industry as the best mobile keyboard for iPad – to the iPad mini,” said Logitech’s Alexis Richard, Director of Brand Development for Tablet Accessories.

“Think of it as the other half of your iPad mini. Its clever seven-inch design fits perfectly with the iPad mini while offering full-size keys for easy typing, saving your screen space for content.”

Logitech has let us know that the keyboard backs in a three month battery (provided you only use it two hours per day) and is recharged by the industry standard of microUSB.

Pricing for the micro keyboard is set at $89.95 RRP, and it should be available in stores across the country within the next few weeks.
