Naked Geeks – February 15, 2014

This week on the Naked Geeks,we’re taking a long hard look at the life of memory cards.

We all use them, whether or not we like to admit it, with flash memory used inside our digital cameras, phones, and thumb drives, but how do you know when the memory will die? We’ll talk to someone who can fill us in, and who will tell us what to do if you lose your images from an accidental format.

We’re also checking the news this week, with camera announcements from Sony with the world’s fastest autofocus and Panasonic’s first 4K capable prosumer camera, Kaspersky’s security specialists find a nasty little security exploit, and Apple unleashes iTunes Radio to Australia.

Oh, and if you’re in the market for a new laptop, we’ll also give you the spoken review of HP’s Google Chromebook 11, a laptop that competes with another Chromebook we checked out earlier in the week that isn’t in this show, the Acer C720 Chromebook.

And if you have any questions, don’t hesitate. We’ll happily respond.
