Pure Sensia digital radio – Aussie pricing announced

We wrote recently about the soon-to-be released Pure Sensia digital radio. Well, last night I laid eyes, ears and hands on it, and I can assure you, it looks as good in the flesh as it does in the photographs.

Last night in the very nicely located offices of the British Consulate-General overlooking Circular Quay, the Pure Sensia was officially launched. There is now a definite Australian price, $749 RRP, and it will be here in late October, early November. Not cheap, but I must say having seen the UK price had thought it would be more in the $900 area.

There’s still a lot of tweaking to be done on the app side of the Sensia, so we’ll revisit that side of things when the market-ready device arrives, but what I can tell you is that it sounds good, and the touch interface is very user-friendly. Matter of fact the interface is very iPod-like, which is no surpise really, as Imagination Technologies provide some technology for that aspect of the iPod.

And did I mention that that the Sensia looks really good?
