Rumour: White iPhone 4 to finally arrive this week, new iMacs next week

Promised when it was initially released last year, it now looks like Apple’s dream of a white iPhone 4 is finally coming true. Maybe.

Upon release of the iPhone 4 last year, Apple was expected to push out a white model, for customers who preferred white over black. But several months later, the white model was missing in action.

Fast forward to today – almost one year since the iPhone 4 was released – and Apple looks like it finally has a white iPhone 4 ready for purchase. News today suggests that Apple is now shipping stock of white iPhone 4 handsets to retailers and mobile providers around the world, with a view to releasing it later this week.

Call it a late Easter present.

Meanwhile, Apple’s desktop computers look set to receive an upgrade with Intel’s Sandy Bridge upgrades.

Rumours today are suggesting an announcement as early as next week with faster iMacs, possibly including the recently introduced Thunderbolt port.
