Snuggly Rascals headband headphones launch in Australia

Kids everywhere seem to be wearing headphones all the time. And that can be a problem, particularly for their hearing. You can fight it, or you can guide it in a safer direction. Enter Snuggle Rascals with its new headphones, which are actually built into kid-themed headbands.

The pictures give most of the story. They just wear one of eight different styles. But they have been thought out rather well.

First: cleanliness. The active headphone part can be taken out so the headband can be washed in a regular washing machine.

Second: hearing protection. The headphones are volume limited “to below the recommended 85 decibel level”.

Third: helping others. Ten per cent of the profit made on each set of Snuggly Rascals headphones goes to different childrens’ charities each month.

The only real problem I see is timing for the Australian launch. We’re just going into summer. I hope they’re not too hot.

But you can check them out at JB HiFi from November. They’re priced at $17.99.
