Sonos gives iOS users one more reason to sing

Owners of the Sonos sound systems with an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch and the latest version of iOS now have something else to smile about, with the addition of a feature Android users don’t yet have.

Literally just launched – seriously, look for the update now – the latest release of the Sonos app now allows you to stream music from your iOS device straight to your Sonos player, skipping the need for a dock, which was previously the way Sonos users had to play music from their devices.

WiFi needs to be connected for this to work, unsurprisingly, since you’re iOS device needs to be on the same wireless network as your Sonos to run.

Android owners don’t quite have this feature yet, though we’re hoping it’s not too far off, as it would be nice to spread this feature around to more than just iPhone owners of Sonos products.
