Dell’s latest all-round laptop has arrived at GadgetGuy, complete with a customisable look. The new Inspiron 15R comes with either an Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processor, up to 8GB memory, up to 640GB hard drive, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, Bluetooth, WiFi b/g/n, DVD burner, and a 15.6 inch HD screen.
It’s also one of the first laptops we’ve seen to support the “Switch” lids, a new interchangeable system that allows you to customise the look of your laptop with a simple replaceable lid.
The lids cost just under $50, which might be viewed as a little on the expensive side, but if you’re after a different look for your laptop, it’ll definitely be found here.
we’ve gone thru the phase of every producer making a “thin”, or the “thinnest” laptop. i guess thin is now passe in favour of making lids to sit over the thin bases to make them “Phats”. i do like it, however it just seems a little superfluous/gimmicky when you know it could be thinner/lighter.
who do u take the lid off
