Acer’s X1160 projector

Acer Computer Australia have launched a new digital projector, the Acer X1160. The projector is ideal for those who want to indulge in cinematic entertainment and high-intensity gaming in the comfort of their own home.

The Acer X1160 SVGA (800×600) digital projector is designed to bring colours to life with its 2000 ANSI Lumens brightness and 2000:1 contrast ratio. Featuring a longer lamp life with up to 4,000 hours of use and a 6-segment colour wheel, this value projector utilises Acer ColorBoost and SmartFormat technologies for rich, vibrant imagery and complete wide format support.

A 6-segment colour wheel with Acer?s unique deployment maximises colour and brightness and reduces the rainbow effect.

The Acer SmartFormat technology features a simple set-up process which allows for easy continuation between speakers for presentation use, complete widescreen format support that permits instant synchronisation of wide-format without resolution adjustment from your notebook, and the Acer Top-Load Lamp Design to complete lamp replacement in a few simple steps.

The Acer X1160 digital projector represents great value at a RRP $899, and will be available in stores at the end of October 2007.

Acer has also recently launched two other digital projectors, the Acer P1165 for those looking for high impact imagery along with ultra-vivid colour, and the Acer P1265. The Acer P1265 native XGA (1024×768) projector is ideal for the education sector and SMB users who are after superior-quality digital projection, without the prohibitive costs of enhanced brightness and portable connectivity.

Price and availability

The Acer P1165 is priced at $1,399 RRP and Acer P1265 retails for $1,899 RRP, and are both available in stores now.
