Japan-born Australian fashion designer Akira Isogawa has made a successful living out of dressing the rich and famous, so it may come as a surprise to find he’s now started dressing our floors. The Akira Isogawa rug collection for Designer Rugs takes the evocative designs of this unique artist and lays them out in New Zealand wool. The rugs measure 2m by 3m, and there are 11 designs to choose from, ranging from the gentle tones of the Nara #2 and Asuka #2, through to the bold statements made by the Muromachi #1 and Kyoto # 2 (pictured). Just 30 rugs per design will be created as part of this limited edition collection.
