Angry Birds to bring more bird flicking action

While Rovio’s hit casual game “Angry Birds” has proven a huge success on smartphones everywhere, it’s about to get the board game, console, and motion picture love.

Toy maker Mattel will be getting its beak dirty with a new board game titled “Angry Birds: Knock On Wood”. The new game will let you build up your own pig-laden structures and use a catapult to fling the Angry Birds into them.

We can’t wait for it to arrive locally, but until then, Fox has let us know that it will be releasing a version of the game in conjunction with the new animated movie “Rio”.

Had enough Angry Birds yet? We didn’t think so.

With Valentines Day only a week away, Rovio is set to launch “Hogs and Kisses” to smartphones within a few days.

The franchise will also be making its way to the Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo’s upcoming portable gaming system that will let you see 3D content without needing 3D glasses.

Oh, and did we mention that there’s also an animated TV show in the works?
