Attention coffee lovers: be at The Rocks, Sunday July 22

 

Lovers of all things coffee, tea and spices should get along to the annual Rocks Aroma Festival this Sunday at The Rocks, Sydney, where the latest coffee gadgetry and much more will go on show.

For coffee machine enthusiasts there?s the Domestic Coffee Machine Expo where Saeco will be showing its latest domestic espresso equipment including the Primea Touch Plus.

Incorporating design elements from the BMW Design Group in Germany, the Saeco Primea Touch Plus has a colour touch-screen display for selecting beverages and a motorised drip tray that adjusts to the height of the coffee cup. Saeco will be located on Level 2, Overseas Passenger Terminal, The Rocks.

At the expo be sure to see, feel and try out the latest domestic coffee machines and equipment from brands including Breville, Sunbeam, Gaggia, Groupe SEB (which distributes Krups coffee machines in Australia), Di Bartoli Coffee Centre, Barazi Bezzera, Cafetto, Espresso Company Australia and Jura.

It?s also worth staying for the 2007 Australasian Specialty Coffee Association?s (AASCA) Sydney Latte Art championships (also in the Domestic Coffee Machine Expo) where you can watch Sydney baristas create magical coffee art. Or, sample a coffee from the Champions? Espresso Bar where 2007 World Latte Art champion Jack Hanna and 2007 Australian Barista champion Scott Callaghan will be making appearances and serving up coffees throughout the day.

Sunbeam is demonstrating its coffee machine range with former world barista champion, Paul Bassett (pictured), delivering an interactive experience for festivalgoers. Former Australian Latte Art champion, Dominic Majdandzic, will also be on the Sunbeam stand to share his coffee making techniques.
