Brother LED lights up laser printers

Brother LED is a new range of colour A4 printers that provide good speed, reliability and affordability in the home, small office or workgroup.

What is a Bother LED printer?

It uses LED instead of laser to paint the image on a drum for transfer to paper. Since there are less moving parts, Brother LED printers can be more reliable than laser printers. They are also smaller and lighter, more energy efficient and run cooler so they appeal to those working in smaller offices

LED printers use an array of thousands of LED lights (per colour – cyan, magenta, yellow and black) that focus their light through an overlay of tiny lenses onto the drum. The net effect is very similar to a laser, but LED provides slightly crisper edges.

Like a laser, you have 4 x replacement drums, toner, belts and spent toner collectors.
