DEEBOT 900 cleans up (announcement)

DEEBOT 900

Ecovacs Robotics has announced its latest advanced robotic vacuum cleaner. The DEEBOT 900. OK Google or Hey Alexa can set in on its onerous way.

It features ECOVACS’ unique mapping and navigation technology – Smart Navi. This plans and calculates a highly efficient cleaning path unique to the user’s home. It thoroughly and systematically cleans using an interchangeable inlet system to tackle hair, carpets or bare floors.

DEEBOT 900Smart home features include voice control via Google Home and Amazon Alexa.

An ECOVACS App for iOS or Android allows for full remote control of the cleaning process. It can be used to build maps and draw up to 50 virtual boundaries. These restrict the robot from cleaning a specific area and prevent it from wandering off to restricted areas.

DEEBOT 900With the app’s time-scheduling function, users can simply set a time for the robot to clean regularly and choose between cleaning modes for any time slot of any day up to ten times a week.

This is perfect for hair and pet fur removal. A V-shaped main brush is ideal for a deep-reach clean, especially on carpets.

DEEBOT 900There is also a new Max cleaning mode with a 70% power increase to remove stubborn dirt. A select the Area cleaning mode divides the home into several areas and prioritises them for cleaning.

Battery life

The 3,000mAh battery can last up to 100 minutes in economy mode, less at the higher ratings.

Once exhausted it returns home to the charging station. When charged (up to two hours) it will restart. It has one of the lower sound ratings at 66 dB in Standard mode.
