Hisense will match its portfolio of TVs with an upgraded audio range in 2022, led by the Dolby Atmos soundbar U5120G. The 5.1.2 soundbar system includes a standalone 8 inch subwoofer (the ‘.1’) plus 12 integrated drivers within the body of the speaker.

The driver array comprises an up-firing pair (the ‘.2’) to make the most of Dolby Atmos overhead effects, a side-firing pair for an expanded sound stage, plus three front-firing speakers. Optional rear speakers for enhanced surround sound will be available later in the year.

The U5120G soundbar is intended to complement Dolby Atmos audio technology that features across Hisense’s latest 2022 TriChroma Laser Cinema, ULED and Mini-LED range of TVs. Head of Marketing at Hisense Australia, Nick Peters, says:

Customers demand not only the best in visual quality, but the ability to match that with exceptional audio too. The performance and demand for Hisense products continues to grow and the extension of our Sound Bar range reflects this by offering consumers an exceptional selection of options to suit every budget.

The Hisense U5120G is available now with an RRP of $799.  It will be followed later in the year by a soundbar model offering voice control and smart home integration, with more details to be announced closer to launch.
