The menu claims to simplify many DVD player operations including the ability to reconfigure the player while playing disks.
The DV-686A supports progressive scan via a 108Mhz/12 bit DAC which also allows for video adjustment functions. Audio is via a 192kHz/24 bit DAC that should provide considerably better sound quality than a budget model player. 5.1 surround sound support is provided via either optical or coax connections.
