Fancy a screen fridge with artistic detail from 18th century painter Jacques-Louis David? Or how about a fridge that carries the look of luxurious leather?
Electrolux designers have had some real fun reworking the look of the very humble, and often white, refrigerator as part of a project called war on whitee for the Pret a Porter Fashion Fair in Paris. Designers created four aesthetic concepts for screen fridges, including flowers, 1960s wallpaper and black leather.
Although these unusual refrigerator designs are not available in retail stores, Electrolux says its designers in Europe are working closely with the fashion and design industries to transform these ideas into tangible products for the future.
