Facebook gets an iPad app… finally

iPad users with a love for the social networking service Facebook can jump for joy: the iPad app has finally arrived.

Released to Apple’s AppStore today, Facebook is now a universal app, capable of running on the iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch.

Previously, iPad users who wanted to get their Facebook on either had to turn to a third party app or use the software Facebook had released for the iPhone.

With the new app, however, there’s support for all of the Facebook staples, including your news feed, messages, events, friends, photos, pages, groups, and even the chat system that we’ve all come to know and love.

Best of all, it’s free and at the moment lacks advertisements. We have seen the the occasional bug here and there, though – Bluetooth keyboard users: you’ll lose out on the “send” button any time you want to write a message.
