Bicycles could forever be changed, with Ford unveiling a new electric bike concept that combines technology from the world of Formula 1 with a battery capable of driving up to 85 kilometres on a charge.
Designed to show that Ford could innovate in the electric bike space, the E-Bike Concept combines a frame made from aluminium and carbon, minimalist design, and a magnetic technology derived from F1 used to control the electric motor seamlessly, cutting the system in and out as the rider pedals.
Weighing only 2.5 kilograms, the bike features an 11-speed gear hub and a motor capable of supporting up to 25km/h.
Sadly, Ford’s E-Bike concept is just that: a concept. While Ford sees electric bikes as important, this model will be used for research purposes, potentially fuelling a product that will be released in the near future.
Come on Ford, don’t play games, bring it on.!!
geez Ford I want one NOW!
Just give is a price indication to gauge interest or get it made in China
Can it be folded compactly so that it can fit on a train easily?
Not from what we’ve seen, though that could change in time.

wow..!
Amazing concept bike. I would love to ride one, but of course I couldn’t because these are not the actual product that a consumer could buy. but it’s really impressive that big companies are offering that much of a time to research and development of these bikes.
