Fujitsu PC Australia have released the P8010 into its LifeBook range. The LifeBook P8010 weighs only 1.3 kg, and is powered by the Intel CoreTM2 Duo Processor.

Inspired by the bamboo, the LifeBook P8010 high-gloss cover reveals a unique accent line across it, mimicking the joints of a bamboo. From an industrial design perspective, this gives the LifeBook P8010 a more robust exterior, able to protect its slim form factor from unforeseen accidents while travelling.

The computer is also big on lifestyle possibilities. Made possible by Fujitsu’s SlimEdge Design innovation, it’s designed to let users enjoy spectacular graphics on a brilliant 12.1″ wide, 1280 x 800 WXGA SuperFine TFT display, with a brightness rating of 300, 400:1 contrast ratio and 45% color gamut. This computing companion also features a Dual Layer DVD Super Multi Writer, so you can write and copy data on-the-go. For those who can’t sleep on long haul flights, the P8010 offers a long battery life of up to 6.1 hours.

The LifeBook P8010 is powered by the next generation processor – Intel CoreTM2 Duo Processor SL7100 (1.2GHz/800MHz/4M L2 cache) with a Mobile Intel GS965 Express Chipset and Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN network connection. This personal companion has an impressively high storage capacity of up to 250GB, supports up to 4GB in memory size and is built with 1GB Intel Turbo Memory  to turbo charge the responsiveness of the system.

The LifeBook P8010 has an integrated 1.3 megapixel camera, three USB ports and an internal microphone for VoIP. An optional extra is a port replicator, allowing quick access to all your desk connections without any additional desktop PC required. The P8010 also provides further flexible communications options with Bluetooth as well as a built-in SD memory slot for convenient transferring of music, pictures and data.

The Fujitsu LifeBook P8010 comes equipped with a stylish operation panel featuring function buttons that light up with a blue LED and a LifeBook logo lighted by a white LED. Both are illuminated when the notebook is powered up, upping the style factor. To ensure smooth operation for the comfort of users, the P8010 is also designed with a larger than usual touchpad. The user-friendly touchpad measures 70 mm (L) by 43 mm (W) and 81 mm diagonally.
Worried about intellectual property theft or the stealing of privileged information? The LifeBook P8010 makes complex security simple with its Fingerprint Sensor for fast access and data protection and the 3D Shock Sensor for decreasing the risk of damage to the hard disk drive, thus prolonging your notebook’s lifespan and pre-empting the possibility of unnecessary and potentially expensive data loss. The P8010 even has the ability to prevent theft as it automatically locks your notebook when sudden movement is detected. Without your password, unauthorised users will not be able to gain access to your notebook. The fingerprint reader also functions as a scroll.
