The most unique feature of the Hitachi 42PD8800TA is its motorised swivel base. Using the remote control you can swivel the screen up to 30 degrees left to right, meaning you don?t even need to get out of your seat.
The screen also features an impressively high 1024 x 1024 resolution, which means it can handle improved detail of HD digital. Its colour processor also allows for up to 68.6 billion colours to be represented on-screen.
There are also plenty of inputs, including two of the new HDMI connectors. Two analog tuners are built in, which means you can use picture in picture, although you’ll need an external device, such as a set-top box, to get digital.
