HP releases a new range of home printing products

Hewlett-Packard (HP) thave announced a new range of consumer inkjet printers for fast and simple, high-quality home printing. HP?s new all-in-one and single function printer line up caters to a broad rangeof customer requirements including home photo printing, copying, scanning and document printing ? made easier without the need of a PC(1). The new printer range includes two HP Photosmart All-in-One Printers (C5280 and C4280), two HP Deskjet All-in-One Printers (F2180 and F4185) and two HP Deskjet Single Function Printers (D2460 and D4260).

HP is also announcing the launch of the ?HP Imagination Centre?, www.hp.com.au/imagination, a free online tool designed to keep children?s imaginations alive and active. The new website provides activities for little minds to enjoy at and away from the computer with regular competitions rewarding imaginative thinking and individuality with fun prizes.

The HP Imagination Centre is an online place for parents and children encouraging kids to experiment with technology while expanding and challenging their creativity. Activities include taking a virtual adventure and playing the hero in an online story, creating games to play at home (like a treasure hunt) and making crafts (butterfly origami). HP?s new range of Photosmart and Deskjet printer series integrate with the ?Imagination Centre? and are simple enough for children to print out their own creations and activity sheets.

Print directly onto CDs and DVDs with HP?s new Photosmart Printer

Copy, scan and produce true-to-life photos and laser-quality documents with the new HP Photosmart C4280 and C5280 All-in-One printers. New product features allow easy web printing (preventing the frustration of cut off edges) as well as the ability to print directly onto CDs and DVDs(2) with personal photos and text. Bring new life to old photos and create photo projects, such as brochures and collages, using the new HP Photosmart Essential software; an advanced editing tool. Simplify the process of printing by inserting a memory card and view images on a 2.4-inch (or 1.5 inch for the C4280) preview display(3) ? all without the need of a PC.

With convenient one-touch buttons and an automated paper tray(4), these compact all-in-ones are perfect for small workspaces in the home. Offering printing and copying speeds of up to 32 pages per minute (ppm) for black, 24 ppm for colour and 27 seconds for 4? x 6? photos(5), the HP Photosmart C4280 and C5280 are both fast and efficient.

Affordable home printing

HP offers a series of ultra-affordable all-in-one and single function HP Deskjet printers designed to accommodate the different printing needs of users. The HP Deskjets F2180 and F4185 All-in-Ones are designed for low cost, everyday home use with printing, scanning and copying capabilities. Offering fast and efficient, high quality document printing with up to 20 ppm in black and up to14 ppm in colour.

HP?s Deskjet single function D2460 and D4260 printers and F2180 and F4185 All-in-Ones, feature HP Smart Web Printing which enables complete web page printing and ensures users no longer experience the frustration of cut-off edges. Users can also save paper and ink with a new on-screen print cancel button. With a variety of printing and copying size options, including bordered and borderless photos, the new HP Deskjet range provide a user-friendly and inexpensive printing solution for home and SoHo users.
