In-flight entertainment to change with iPad rentals on Jetstar

Watching movies on a four-hour flight will never be the same, with Jetstar rolling out Apple iPad rental units to aircraft in its fleet.

Launching this week, Jetstar will offer iPad rentals for flights over two hours long flying across Australia, the trans-Tasman, and international flights between Australia and New Zealand.

“Jetstar is proud to be the world’s first airline to entertain its customers with cutting-edge iPad technology,” said Bruce Buchanan, CEO of Jetstar. “We’ve listened to our customers and know in-flight entertainment is an important part of their overall travel experience, so we’ve made sure the new iPads offer the very best viewing experience.”

Available for between $10 and $15 per flight, the iPad on offer will come with movies, TV shows, and music, as well as a selection of games, eBooks, and digital magazines.
