iPad to launch locally later than expected

If you were anything like us, you can’t wait to get your hands on an Apple iPad.

For the past few weeks, we’ve been hearing rumours of a late April release, and while we were hoping and hoping, it looks like we’re all going to have to wait a little bit longer.

With over 500,000 iPads sold in the US during the first week, Apple has found the demand higher than expected. This means that the rest of the world now gets their launches postponed.

Australia is just one of many countries that will have to wait until May 10 to find out how much the iPad will cost.

Apple has said they’ll begin taking orders internationally from this date, however, so if you’re still keen, make sure to mark your calendars.
