Kaiser Baas has released two new ranges of digital photo frames for the retail market; the Signature series and the Snapshot series. Both series allow digital photographers to display their digital photos as a slideshow in a photo frame. While the Snapshot Series aims at the budget conscious consumer with basic functions within a traditional timber frame, the Signature Series is rich with multimedia functions finished in a high quality, gloss acrylic frame and aims to appeal to the discerning customer. Both series offer a premium liquid crystal display (LCD) panel in two different sizes, an 8 inch and a 10.4 inch, with the Signature range offering a larger 15 inch model.
SnapShot Series
The Kaiser Baas SnapShot Series perform all the basic functions of a digital photo frame such as displaying digital photos as a slideshow in a stained, laser engraved timber frame, with the emphasis on ease-of-use, quality and value. The 8 inch features an 800 x 600 pixel resolution LCD screen with digital image correction technology for enhancing picture quality, where the 4:3 aspect ratio displays digital photos in its natural proportions taken from a consumer digital camera. The 10.4 inch model has a resolution of 640 x 480. Each digital photo frame includes an infra-red remote control, supports JPG file format, and all the common consumer memory cards including Secure Digital (SD), Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC), Memory Stick (MS), Multimedia Card (MMC), Compact Flash (CF) and xD Picture card (xD); and acts as a card reader as well.
Signature Series
The Signature Series builds on the SnapShot Series by adding built-in memory, a black gloss acrylic frame for a contemporary finish and a list of multimedia functions. These include playing back MP3 files as background music when it is in slideshow mode, playback of digital videos in AVI, MPEG, DVIX, XVID or Motion-JPEG formats and 256MB of built-in memory for storing digital and playing back pictures without the aid of a memory card. It also features a calendar and clock overlay display with alarm function. The Signature Series is also available in an 8 inch, 10.4 inch and 15 inch active matrix TFT LCD display panel, with the latter having a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. All the LCD panels feature digital image correction technology for enhancing the picture quality.

The Kaiser Baas Signature and SnapShot Digital Photo Frame series is exclusively distributed by Lako Pacific and is available from major retailers and online stores from the 18th August 2008. Pricing for the Snapshot Series start from $229 inc.GST for the 8 inch model; while the Signature Series start from $269 inc.GST for its 8 inch model.
