Kogan goes early on Boxing Day Sale

I keep hearing weird theories about why Boxing Day is called “Boxing Day”. But however it came to be so known, one thing is certain: Sales.

Yes, Boxing Day is when all the retailers sell the stuff they were selling the previous week but at much, much lower prices. Australian on-line retailer Kogan has decided to “jump the gun” on that, and start its Boxing Day Sale five days early!

Ruslan Kogan, the Founder and CEO of Kogan.com, says:

“Christmas is a busy time of year for Aussie customers grabbing great deals online for their friends and family. But anyone shopping online has already done all their Christmas shopping for the year.

“That means online retailers that have managed their inventories well have no reason to hold back on their Boxing Day sales. So, we’re ready to go with hundreds of deals we’ve been working hard on securing for our customers.

“Even though there are still millions of unwrapped gifts under Christmas trees around the country, Aussies can head to Kogan.com now and get the jump on the best Boxing Day Sale deals.”

More than 400 items are available for sale at discounts of more than fifty per cent.

Not familiar with Kogan? It started several year ago as an online retailer of things like TVs and other entertainment gear, expanded to include smart phones and computers and a wealth of other gadgets. These days it has broadened even further, with offerings like Kogan Travel, outdoor furnishings, safety equipment, health and beauty products, and a great deal more. Early this year Kogan relaunched Dick Smith as an online-only retailer.
