I keep hearing weird theories about why Boxing Day is called “Boxing Day”. But however it came to be so known, one thing is certain: Sales.
Yes, Boxing Day is when all the retailers sell the stuff they were selling the previous week but at much, much lower prices. Australian on-line retailer Kogan has decided to “jump the gun” on that, and start its Boxing Day Sale five days early!
Ruslan Kogan, the Founder and CEO of Kogan.com, says:
“Christmas is a busy time of year for Aussie customers grabbing great deals online for their friends and family. But anyone shopping online has already done all their Christmas shopping for the year.

More than 400 items are available for sale at discounts of more than fifty per cent.
