Kogan launches eBook Reader for under $200

Online Australian retailer Kogan has launched a competitor to the Amazon Kindle and Borders Kobo with a new 6 inch eBook reader that comes with 1,500 free pre-loaded books.
The new eBook reader features a 16 level grayscale electronic-ink screen, is under 1cm thick, and can support lots of formats including images, music playback (MP3), and multiple e-book types including PDF, EPUB, and downloaded HTML webpages.

Priced at $189, it looks as if Kogan’s eBook Reader is aimed to steal some thunder from the $199 Borders Kobo.
The battery life is said to support 10,000 putting it in line with the long life of other available e-readers, but no word on whether that battery life is extended if you use the Kogan eBook Reader for music playback.
