LG CordZero A9 Kompressor+ stick vacuum with automatic emptying

The 2021 LG CordZeo CordZero A9 Kompressor+ stick vacuum now has an automatic dust removal and charging system.

GadgetGuy is quite a fan of the LG A9 series since its release in mid-2019. Initially for its easy swap battery system that gives up to 80 minutes of battery life (now 120 minutes). Later we reviewed the Power Drive Mop Head that easily outperforms robot mops. And frankly, it is among the highest efficiency vacuums collecting more dust and detritus that most other brands. It earned a 4.7/5 rating.

And we love that the whole filter system is washable.

We are currently reviewing the new LG CordZero A9 Kompressor (sans auto emptying) and initial results show some subtle refinements to an otherwise excellent product.

Battery life now is up to 120 minutes. Of course, that depends on the mode – normal, power or turbo. For most use normal is fine – we use the power mode for long pile carpet.

The Kompressor nomenclature is nothing to do with air compression, but a Kompressor lever compresses detritus and dust to double bin capacity.

Included tools are a universal power head (the older A9 has separate heads for carpet and hard floors), multi-function crevice tool, 2-in-1 combo tool and a power punch to vibrate dust out of furniture and upholstery.

It is also Wi-Fi enabled, and the app can show you cleaning and battery statistics – no, it won’t do the vacuuming itself!

The automatic empty and charge stand has a digital display, tool storage, and disposable dust collection bags.

The Power Mop upgrade kit 4.3/5 is sold separately – and damn Santa did not bring us one for Xmas.

Lyu Jae-Cheol, president of LG Electronics Home Appliance & Air Solutions, said,

“The CordZero A9 Kompressor+ and charging station take cleanliness and convenience to new heights. This impressive cleaning solution is a part of LG’s ongoing mission to better the lives of consumers and their families.”
