LG has launched its new laundry care range with Direct Drive Motor System. The range includes the new stainless steel steam washing machine, steam washer & dryers, combined washer & dryer, front load washers and top load washers.
The Direct Drive System utilises fewer moving parts which reduces machine wear-and-tear and noise. LG has developed the system using state-of-the-art technology that integrates the motor to the centre of the drum, eliminating the belt and pulley. This new design also increases stability, durability and energy efficiency. The Direct Drive Motor also comes with a 10 year warranty (2 years parts & labour + 8 years on motor part) affording customers confidence in the quality of their LG washing machine.
Further improving the efficiency of their laundry products, LG has ensured that all steam washer/dryers, combined washer/dryer, steam washer and front load washers come with a 4.5 star Water Rating. This increased water rating provides yet another example of LG’s commitment to driving innovation and advances in addressing key consumer needs.
The new range incorporates all of the unique design elements consumers have come to expect from LG. With sleek stainless steel and classic white finishes, ergonomic design and bold style features, LG continues to bring style to the home laundry.
All steam washer/dryers and the steam washer in this new range also feature the new Allergy Care Function and Steam Refresh Function providing a more hygienic wash.
Selected washers in the range have been fitted with larger doors for easy access when loading and unloading especially for large, bulky clothing, making the laundering process a breeze.

- Allergy Care: Maintains a consistent temperature level of up to 60 degrees for 10 minutes to assist in the reduction of more allergens such as common dust mites (on all steam washer/dryers & steam washer)
- Steam refresh: A 20 minute cycle using no detergent and less than 1 litre of water that deodorises and reduce creases in your clothes without having to expose clothes to a full wash (on all steam washer/dryers & steam washer)
- Direct Drive Motor (10 year warranty): For a stable and quiet wash cycle; it is a state-of-the-art technology that integrates the motor to the centre of the drum, eliminating the belt and pulley. This means less noise, less vibration and increased durability.
- Warranty: The Direct Drive Motor has also been given a 10 year warranty, 2 years parts and labour and 8 years on motor part (on all steam washer/dryers, steam washers & front load washers)
