Look like you’re wearing an oversized gemstone with new Monster headphones

Fashion can be weird, and we’re sure there are plenty of you out there agreeing with us. To see how peculiar it can be, you need to see some new headphones heading out to Australia from Monster.

Designed in collaboration with Italian fashion icon Diesel, the “Vektr” headphones combine Monster’s engineered sound with a very unique look that will certainly make you stand out in a crowd.

The headphones feature a built-in microphone and answer control button, designed for use with smartphones and iPhones.

“The beauty of Vektr is that you can spoil your ears, without feeling guilty about your eyes feeling left out,” said Monster’s Noel Lee. “Pure, powerful sound, delivered with a look that’s not afraid to be seen.”

Diesel’s Vektr headphones will land in stores within the next few weeks, available for a recommended retail price of $329.

Interestingly, it’s worth pointing out that a recent article in the New York Post shows that thieves are more aware of people wearing the flashy headphones that both Beats and Monster create.

Monster were previously used as the engineering force behind the Beats By Dr. Dre line headphones, before the two became separate entities.

While expensive headphones aren’t exactly a new concept, the fashionable Monster and Beats cans fetching over $300 often tell would-be thieves that if you’re willing to spend big on your headphones, there’s probably a nice high-priced media player waiting for them to snatch at the same time.
