If you’re someone who puts in a lot of time playing games on your iPhone or iPod Touch, the Marware Game Grip could be just the accessory you need. This chunky bit of plastic and silicone holds your iPod Touch or iPhone tightly, and its extended hand grips turn your device into something resembling a big PS3 or Xbox 360 games controller.

In the box is the piece of plastic that is the handle/holder, a coloured silicone cover for the handle, 1 x silicone skin to fit the iPhone 3G/3GS, and 1 x silicone skin to fit the 2nd generation iPod Touch. Within the handles there’s a cord management system, designed to wrangle headphone and charging cables.

It’s bound to have people looking twice, and I’m sure is a handy games accessory. One fatal flaw though, it’s designed in such a way to accommodate games played in landscape, or widescreen mode – not so ergonomic or comfortable if the game you’re playing is in vertical screen mode.

The Australian distributor is PICA Australia, and this product is so new it’s not even up on their website yet. The Marware Game Grip will have an RRP of $59.95.
