21 March 2008

Mirage has released the Nano 5.1 surround sound speaker system. This tiny, rugged Nano 5.1 home theatre system has been designed so that its speakers can be positioned anywhere in a room and deliver 360 degrees of sound with superior imaging, smoothness and three dimensionality.

Consisting of four matching satellite speakers and matching centre speaker together with a subwoofer, with each of the speakers employing the company’s world famous patented 360 degree Ominpolar technology.

Omnipolar technology allows the speakers to reproduce sound in a perfect 360 degree Omnipolar dispersion pattern facilitated by a simple, ingenious, saucer shaped deflector suspended over the midrange and tweeter, thereby distributing uniform tonal balance making your entire room the sweet spot. The end result, an expansive soundstage so impressive the walls virtually disappear.

Each speaker features a 2 3/4 inch polypropylene and Butyl surround woofer and a pure titanium hybrid 3/4 inch tweeter mounted in Mirage’s patented Omniguide dispersion system.

Each speaker is magnetically shielded and exterior finish is an exquisite, hard lacquered, high gloss black and platinum aluminium enclosure. A perfectly matched front ported, down firing Nano S8 200W subwoofer takes music and movie sound to the next level, delivering rich crystal clear bass.

With an overall frequency response from 33Hz to over 20 kHz the Nano 5.1 is designed for systems up to 200 watts, either in 2-channel or home theatre applications.
