MV800i

The MV 800i is Canon?s entry level model and the basis for which the 830i and 850i are built as they all share the same body and optics system. The 800i sacrifices a few features to get to the price point ? there is no memory card option so stills are saved to tape, and whilst the 850i has a 22x optical zoom, the 800i (as does the 830i) only sports a 20x ? still more than enough for most users! There is no PictBridge compatibility however ? as would be expected seeing as you are saving stills to tape.

For those that want a no fuss entry-level camcorder however, the 800i is a good starting point.
