Launched late last week, NASA’s final space shuttle mission carried a passenger few in the public knew about: a Panasonic AG-3DA1 professional 3D video camera.
Bigger and more expensive than Panasonic’s consumer grade 3D camcorder, the camera will be used on the International Space Station to document experiments taking place above the Earth, recording the results in full 3D.
No word yet on if NASA has any plans to show the 3D videos later down the track, but many of us stuck on the ground would sure love to see our little green pebble in full HD 3D if we ever got the chance.
I agree it would be great if they shared , Panasonic may get them too!
I hope they can show this at an Imax Theatre. I watched the documentary about the Hubble Telescope at Imax Sydney in 3D. The images were awesome.
How cool this little beauty can report back to us here on earth from that VAST space mass
