If you’ve been after a coffee machine that won’t break the bank and offers a cup of joe in a small size, you can turn to a one letter solution.
Arriving at stores in August, Nespresso’s U is a machine built by DeLonghi designed for the Nespresso coffee capsule technology.
The machine is fairly minimalist, heats up in half a minute, uses a 19 bar pressure pump like the CitiZ models, and features an easy way of getting the right cup of coffee out of whatever capsule you choose, with a button designed for the three cup sizes – ristretto (25ml), espresso (40ml) and lung (110ml).
A first for a Nespresso machine, the water tank sits on a base that can be moved around to a different size, allowing the machine to fit into tighter spaces in corners.
It’s also pretty inexpensive, the the Nespresso U coming in at $299 RRP with the Aeroccino milk frothing device thrown in the package with it, worth roughly $129.
UPDATE (July 20): Review online, ahead of the release in August!Â
