Up until now, movie lovers with an appreciation for true widescreen have had to look at the Philips Cinema 21:9 for that real anamorphic experience. A new projector from Digital Projection International aims to change this with a model that shows Full HD 1080p without the black bars.
Using proprietary technology, Digital Projection International’s dVision Scope 1080p will analyse video and convert 1080p content to its ultra-wide 2560×1080 resolution, apparently showing the vision the way it was intended to be seen.
The new projector is set to be shown at the CEDIA Expo in America in September, where hopefully we’ll not only find out more information about the projector, but also a price tag to go with it.
