Nokia is 20% off at JB. If ever there was a good excuse to spend
money to save money, this is it. You get the genuine Australian model that can
make a 000 call without a sim and great support from Nokia Australia.
GadgetGuy is a fan of Nokia – all its phones punch well above their weight in terms of features and value. But Nokia is 20% off at JB – dreams are made of this!
What Nokia would I buy?
There is no doubt that the Nokia 8.1 at $699 redefined what
you could expect in a mid-range phone. In fact, our review says, “Nokia 8.1
redefines mid-market value #ExpectMore.” We gave that a 4.8-out-of-5 and with
20% off it becomes a 5-out-of-5.
The Nokia 7.1 at $499 we likened to a Toyota Camry – a phone for the masses. It is reliable, functional and well-priced. Add to that, a great camera, USB-C and fast charging, 5.8-inch HDR10 screen, Wi-Fi AC and more. Features unheard of at $499 and absolutely a category killer at $399. It is also a 5-out-of-5.
As for the 5.1 Plus, 3.1 and 2.1 – all are under $200. For that, you don’t get masses of RAM, powerful processors, NFC etc. but the standout is the 2.1 with a 4000mAh battery and three-day life. Telstra/Optus users need to note that all these do not support band LTE band 28 so in-building coverage is limited to 3G.
And if you want a dumb phone for old farts the 8110 4G is perfect.
The Nokia is 20% off at JB offer includes the entire range (excluding Nokia 9 PureView, its latest release).
Nokia smartphones offer a
secure Android experience as part of the Android One program. They receive 3
years of monthly security updates and 2 years of OS upgrades, meaning that your
phone experience gets better over time.
