Onkyo bests your surround sound with eleven channels

Seeing a movie at the local cinema is all well and good, but if you’re looking for a way to make your own home theatre even cooler, you may want to look at a new home theatre receiver on the way from Onkyo.

Featuring an impressive 11.4 implementation, the Onkyo TX-NR5010 supports up to four subwoofers and includes nine HDMI in ports, offering more than enough for support for pretty ugh any device you’re keen to plug into a home theatre.

It’s also THX certified, and features support for DTS Neo:X with multi-channel up mixing, as well as a bunch of cool pieces of technology, including Bluetooth 3.0 with aptX, Audyssey DSX, Dolby Pro Logic IIz, and even features a form of support for Cisco’s “SimpleTap” network connections coming to future Linksys routers.

No word on an Australian price for this beast yet, but with a $3000 price over in America, we’ll hazard a guess that it won’t be cheap.
