OPPO A Series 2020 reverse cable charge
Reverse cable charging is ‘new’ and makes sense to use it as a power bank.

GadgetGuy’s take – OPPO A Series 2020 adds to a very crowded market

You buy OPPO because it is one of the best to come from China and it has a five-year presence and support structure here. Its OPPO Reno Z (and now the quad-camera Reno2 Z) are Australia’s top-selling mass-market smartphones.

Pro: Wi-Fi AC, Reverse charge, dedicated dual sims and microSD, good SoC, great camera
Con: None really

These join the new wave of sub-$299/399 value that is shaping up to be a huge fight between siblings OPPO, vivo and realme.

  • vivo Y12 ($249), Y17 ($369)
  • Realme (online) C2 ($199), 5 ($299), 5Pro ($399)
  • Motorola e6 Plus ($199), One Macro ($199)
  • Nokia 2.2 ($199), 4.2 ($249), 6.2 ($399)
  • Samsung A20 ($279) and A30 ($379)
  • Mintt Duo 3 ($179), A3 ($199), S2 ($235), X3 ($265) and Y3 ($399)
  • Alcatel 1S ($199) and 3 ($279)
