OPPO’S flagship Find X series becomes OPPO Find X2 in Q1, 2020. It will be one of the first smartphones to use the new Qualcomm 865 flagship System on a Chip and its 5G X55 modem.
Now the OPPO
Find X2 is OPPO’s take on what a flagship should be, and from initial specifications,
it meets or exceeds every paradigm. It is is also the world’s most beautiful
smartphone – at least the Find X was.
X2 (Find series) sits above the top-rated OPPO Reno series that stretch from
its Gen 1 Reno 5G and 10x lossless models to its mid-range Reno Z that was
Australia’s most popular mid-range device to its Gen 2 Reno2 Z for about $100
OPPO Australia Managing Director, Michael Tran,
welcomed the news, saying consumers can expect big things from the OPPO in
“2020 is gearing up to be an exciting year for OPPO. Not only are we set to expand our portfolio of smart devices with products such as smart headphones and smartwatches, we will also be launching our next-generation flagship smartphone.”.

100% 6.5-inch AMOLED screen and no O-hole. How do they do it?
OPPO has been developing an under-glass selfie camera. At the precise time the OLED screen clears to reveal it. Add to that under-glass fingerprint and you have a 3D curved edge-to-edge and full top-to-bottom screen. At worst it will be a pop-up to preserve the 100% screen.

to see a 4K@120Hz, 100% DCI-P3, Dolby Vision screen. It will be 21:9 (tall and

Qualcomm X55 for Australia’s sub<6Ghz 5G, dual-band supporting Optus and Telstra.
It will have dual active sim and loads of world LTE bands as flagships should.
We know OPPO has been working with Sony on a custom-made 2×2 On-chip Lens array with omnidirectional phase detection auto-focus – faster focus and motion tracking. We suspect it will do 8K@30fps as well as fully OIS and EIS stabilisation for 4K.
Initial rumours are a rear tri camera with 16MP (64MP binned)
and 24MP (10X optical zoom). Selfie is 25MP (unusual).
These specs sound way to low given we know OPPO is planning
to use the 108MP (binned) on other devices. Whatever it is – you can be sure
OPPO knows cameras.
