Panasonic Australia have shown off the Lumix DMC-FP8 digital camera – a sophisticated compact camera that combines style with substance. The elegant design embraces minimalist lines in a high-quality aluminium body – its slim form factor made possible by folding optics that retract the lens flush with the camera body.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FP8 also incorporates Panasonic’s intuitive Intelligent Auto (iA) mode which has been enhanced with the new Power Optical Image Stabiliser (O.I.S) function – providing outstanding hand-shake correction for even sharper results in low light.

The Lumix DMC-FP8 is perfect for those who want ready-to-go convenience and high-speed performance. With industry-leading High-Speed AF, users will be able to capture even the most fleeting photo opportunities with superb clarity, while a 0.95 second start-up time provides an ultra-fast response to capture the moment as it happens.

New enhancements, such as High-Speed AF, POWER O.I.S. and Face Recognition, combined with the renowned Leica optics and user-friendly operation, ensure the DMC-FP8 is enjoyable to use and produces outstanding results.

Despite the camera’s small size, a large, 2.7 inch Intelligent LCD screen offers clear image quality for dynamic viewing and playback. A blue LED illuminates the camera’s button controls when in use, adding another elegant element to the design.

The Venus Engine V image processing engine combines performance with energy efficiency, allowing the camera to capture up to 380 images (CIPA) on a single charge.
