Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZR1 digital camera – small and versatile

Panasonic’s new 12.1 megapixel Lumix DMC-ZR1, the first model in the Lumix ZR range, boasts an ultra-wide 25mm Leica lens with 8x zoom in a surprisingly small camera body. The ZR1 incorporates the new POWER Optical Image Stabiliser (O.I.S) function to significantly reduce the effects of camera-shake; and High Speed AF for fast, responsive performance.

The Lumix DMC-ZR1 has been developed with a breakthrough lens design incorporating the world’s first 0.3mm super-thin aspherical lens. The result is a slim, go-anywhere camera with superior optics for uncompromised image quality. Its 25mm ultra-wide angle aspect captures sweeping landscapes or tight indoor scenes, while the 8x optical zoom range allows distant subjects to be framed up close. This versatility makes the ZR1 ready for every photo opportunity.

The user-friendly Intelligent Auto (iA) mode ensures the ZR1 will have wide appeal, perfect for those seeking great photos with simplicity and fuss-free operation. Complementing the lens’ powerful optics, the new POWER O.I.S provides significantly improved hand-shake correction for even sharper results in low light or at full zoom.

With the High-Speed AF2, users will be able to capture even the most fleeting photo opportunities with superb clarity, while the start-up time of around 1.1 seconds provides convenience when capturing spontaneous moments.

The 2.7-inch large Intelligent LCD offers clear viewing and framing of images, for comfortable capture and playback even in bright conditions.
