Adding to its Australian range of FlatTVs Philips is pleased to launch two new stylish black gloss LCD televisions bringing the 2007 range of Philips FlatTV with integrated digital tuners to seven models, ranging from 32 inch/81cm to 50 inch/127cm. The 32PFL7532D and 42PFL7532D feature a number of Philips? proprietary picture enhancing technologies including: Pixel Plus 2HD, Digital Natural Motion and the Dynamic Contrast Enhancer promising a superior picture quality every time.

The new 32PFL7532D, 32 inch/81cm and 42PFL7532D, 42 ich/107cm Philips LCD TVs are both HD integrated and boast a resolution of 1366x768p to ensure a high quality image reproduction.

Both LCD TVs incorporate a stylish black gloss design, come standard with a matching desktop swivel stand, and consume less than 1W of power in standby.

Easy to use, with USB connectivity

The 32PFL7532D and 42PFL7532D have been designed to connect easily to other devices, from DVD and Blu-ray Disc players to digital cameras and portable music and video players.  Content such as JPEG images, MP3 music and MPEG-4 video files can easily be connected and accessed via USB connections in the sets.

Connecting to high definition video and audio devices

To get the best out of the high definition quality of sources like Blu-ray Disc, HDTV set-top boxes and HD games platforms, Philips latest FlatTVs feature dual HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) connections. HDMI is the first and only industry-supported, all-digital audio/video interface, delivering crystal-clear, pure digital audio and video via a single cable. HDMI dramatically simplifies cabling and provides consumers with the highest-quality home theatre experience.

Picture enhancing technologies

Pixel Plus 2HD
Philips? Pixel Plus 2HD technology takes picture sharpness, natural detail, colours and motion to a level beyond that of standard television.  Each pixel of the incoming picture is enhanced to better match the surrounding pixels resulting in a more natural picture.  In addition, artifacts and digital noise in the picture are detected and reduced creating a much smoother picture than ever before.

Digital Natural Motion
Philips invented Digital Natural Motion to eliminate juddering effects that are visible with moving picture content. Digital Natural Motion estimates motion in the picture and corrects juddering movements in both broadcast and recorded movie material (such as DVD). The smooth motion reproduction and excellent sharpness take the viewing experience to a higher level.

Dynamic Contrast Enhancer
The Dynamic Contrast Enhancer uses a unique dimming backlight technology to answer one of the main concerns of LCD TV ? contrast.  The 32PFL7532D and 42PFL7532D both utilise video processing and a dimming backlight to increase the contrast up to 5 times, whilst also improving the viewing angle.  The result is a bright natural picture with a high contrast ratio of 7500:1 and vibrant colours.
