The ALOGIC 27000mAh power bank is a premium offering with the added benefit of Qi charging – a perfect travel companion.
The ALOGIC 27000mAh power bank has a massive capacity and accordingly is quite weighty (740g). But then it needs to be as it concurrently supports Qi wireless (10W), 2 x USB-A (15W) and 1 x USB-C PD (60W) outputs.
We think the ALOGIC 27000mAh power bank is perfect to power any USB-C PD 2.0/3.0 device to 60W like a 13” MacBook or Intel-based Ultrabook.
ALOGIC may not be a brand you know, but in the power bank, docks, cable and USB-C world they are an eminent and reliable supplier.

27000mAh – big!
Yes, you can fly with it as cabin baggage!
To put 27000mAh in perspective, it uses a bank of 3.7V 18650 Lithium-Ion batteries in parallel totalling 27,000mA (100W) battery. Of course, it outputs 5V USB so using OHMs law in theory that is 5V/20,000mA (100W) output.
Ports – Exceed
It can concurrently deliver USB-C PD with an 85% charge-to-delivery efficiency (that is good) of:
- 5/9/15/20V to a maximum of 3A (60W) over USB-C. This port also supports fast charge for smartphones and notebooks
- 5V/3A (15W) over 1x USB-A and 5V/2A over two. This is PD 1.0 and will deliver from .3A to 3A depending on what the attached device needs.
- Qi-certified charging 5V/2A (10W) and will deliver 5W/1A (5W) or 9V/1.1A (10W) depending on what the device needs
OK, what does that mean?
Well, you have a 20Ah ‘bucket’.
Considering a large smartphone may have 4-5000mAh battery you would get 4-5 full charges out of it.
Now I am typing this on a Lenovo Yoga with a 60Wh battery (20V/3A), so it will give a full charge for that. Many Ultrabook’s only need 45Wh so at least 1.5x charges.
Charging – Exceed
As it supports USB-C PD 2/3.0 (see our definitions here), you can use any PD compatible charger (not supplied). Its maximum charge rate is 15V/2A or 20V/1.5A (30W) so all you need is a 30W or more USB-C PD capable charger.
It needs 100W to fill from 0-100% less, of course, charging efficiency. Meaning a full charge should take 3-4 hours with the right charger. In our tests, it took a little over that.
Note – don’t try to use a charger 5V/3A or less as it will take 8-10 hours.
It has a convenient LED screen to tell you the percentage charge.
Build quality – Exceed
It is solid at 182 (L) x 105 (W) x 27 (H) mm x 740g, but it is no worse than comparable banks like the Cygnet ChargeUp. Where it shines is the addition of a Qi charger and we love the LED readout showing percentage of power left.
It has MCU (micro-controller) protection including high temperature, short circuit, overcurrent, low-voltage, overvoltage, overcharge and over-discharge protection mechanisms.
It has a 12-month warranty although some stores mention 2-years.
Tests – Exceed
We tested for charge times, discharge times, voltage/amperage accuracy on all ports, including Qi and the results were within specifications.

What more can we say? It’s a large bucket of power that, because it uses PD standards, can fill anything – iPhone, iPad, MacBook, Android phone, tablet and Windows Ultralight.
You are paying for the latest tech and the Qi charger, but we think it represents excellent value.
