In essence, the Everio GZ-MG30 is identical to its little brother except for the fact it has an inbuilt 30Gb hard disk as against the MG20?s 20Gb. The gives the larger model up to 37 hours recording time (versus 25) and 7 hours in Ultra mode (versus 4.5 hours).
Everything else is identical including the accessories supplied such as a remote control, editing software for both PC and Mac, and an INFO button to give immediate feedback on available hard disk space and battery life remaining.
