GadgetGuy’s take – Seagate FireCuda 510 SSD is fast but not the fastest

Seagate has a long reputation in storage with an excellent warranty and disk recovery support.

It is ideal for gaming. It is comparable to the Samsung 970 EVO Plus and WD Black SSD in sequential read/write but significantly slower in random read/write. The latter affects overall speeds for office productivity and video/still editing/rendering.

Seagate may be able to address this issue via firmware updates.

But as the prices are comparable, the Samsung and WD choices offer better performance.
