While you would normally think that in this progression of model numbers, the D453i would be a step up again in the 352i / 353i succession, in fact the 453i is built on a totally different chassis. Instead of the 20x optical zoom you get a 10x and the camcorder is physically smaller and lighter. The lens is also enhanced, up from 2.3-23 to 2.3-46, but the Memory Stick and PictBridge capability are still there. The D453i also has a 123K pixel LCD screen.
