Fresh off of the rumour mill, we’re hearing that Apple’s next iteration of the iPad will come in a 7 inch form-factor.
The rumour comes from Taiwan, where a newspaper has suggested that the iPad 3 will not only see a reduction in screen size, but will get a better quality Retina display and a release date before the end of the year.
Considering that both the iPad and iPad 2 arrived with a 9.7 inch size, we’d be surprised to see Apple drop down a couple of inches to the smaller scale devices. That said, we do anticipate a higher resolution screen on the next iPad, similar in quality to the Retina screen found on the iPhone 4.
Another rumour from Taiwan suggests that the iPad will be made by Apple. I guess we’ll have to wait and see..
You know what the problem is here….far to many rumors!
Everyone throws in theyre 2 bob let’s all just wait and see
I am confused about when to even buy an iPad – it seems they are only ‘new’ for a few months.
I totally agree, is Apple playing games with their customers?
Yes they are very good at making small improvements, they don’t care they have a legion of fans that’s why they can make millions every year. They love to play mind games!SD card reader would be a good inclusion …Hell they don’t even make a lot of accessories or apps they leave that to 3rd party developers but make zillions….I wish a company would come along and develop something to compete with them They are so Arrogant! But good at what they do i guess 🙂
Apple release new versions of all products either every 6 months or every 12 months.
You don’t hear the same issue with Google’s Android and Window’s 7 operating systems, because they allow anyone to make Tablets to use their systems, so it doesn’t appear that “older” models are being made obsolete. Â But you’ll find these are being released at a faster pace than Apple.Â
It’s just the way the computer industry is working these days.I’ve seen both iPads in action, and would be happy with either. Â So long as you’re happy not having “the latest” just buy whenever you feel like you want one. Â But make sure you get the system that works best for you!
If you want to use the Ipad as a ‘crude’ replacement for a laptop, then decreasing the size will only hamper the already difficult to use soft keyboard. Â I think making it smaller will be its downfall.
It seems that Apples will always go off within six months meaning their market is loyal early adopters. I think I’ll remian a late adopter, which in my case may mean I never own an Apple product
